Park District Promotional stuff
Hello to everyone in the Do Art Nation! We hope your summer has been as amazing as it’s been for us. We’ve been truly inspired and impressed by all the amazing drawings and creations that you’ve made.
We’ll be bringing art and wacky action through the month of August through our programs at local park districts! These are just a few of the programs that we will be bringing to park districts in Illinois and Missouri:

Crystal Lake Park District variety Art Program
Crystal Lake Park District
August 3-7 10am-12pm
Let’s explore art together! At the Do Art Variety Art Program we explore different media of art such as comics, painting, acting, and more! We work with participants to create original works of art, as well and creating art collaboratively in a supportive space.
Roselle Park District 3 day graphic novel program
Roselle Park District
August 3-5 2-4pm
At the Do Art graphic novel program, we will be exploring the adventurous worlds of stories and drawing, and how we can mix them together!
We will develop our own original characters, our own plot styles, as well as practice different tools and techniques of comics from paneling, to storytelling, to onomatopoeia. Everyone will also receive a Signed Do Art comic about making comics! Join us for this unforgettable creative experience with juggling, live music, and comedy!
McHenry Park District 2 day graphic novel program

August 6-7 2-4pm
We will develop our own original characters, our own plot styles, as well as practice different tools and techniques of comics from paneling, to storytelling, to onomatopoeia. Everyone will also receive a Signed Do Art comic about making comics! Join us for this unforgettable creative experience with juggling, live music, and comedy!
Tinley Park District 3 Day Acting/Improv Program Day One

August 10-12 10am-12pm
In this engaging and confidence-building acting program, participants explore a new emotion and visual acting skill each day. Through fun improv games and creative prompts (including pulling ideas from a “mystery hat”), kids learn how to express feelings, think on their feet, and work together in imaginative scenes. Throughout the program, students practice: Using voice tone and facial expressions ,Communicating through body language and movement, Building confidence speaking in front of others, Listening, reacting, and collaborating with peers. By the end of the program, participants leave with a strong toolkit of acting and communication skills they can use onstage, in school presentations, and in everyday 7-20-26 social situations—all while having a blast in a supportive, playful environment.

We had an incredible Graphic Novel Program here earlier in the year, & we are back for more! We’ll be creating our own comics as we discuss aspects of art and story-telling. Join in the WACKY fun!
