Painting Booth: Arbor Day in Lake Zurich, Illinois.

Hello everyone out there Do Art Nation!  Spring is in the air, and we are excited to celebrate warmer weather, a greener view from the window, and all the amazing things that the Earth and nature have to offer.

We recently got to bring our creativity and energy to the Lake Zurich Arbor Day event at Paulus Park in Lake Zurich, Illinois. Thanks to everyone who came out to draw and paint with us!  We had an amazing time painting with you all, creating paintings inspired by a 3 year-old contest winner who used her handprint to make the trunk and branches of a tree, added thumbprints for leaves, and butterflies with bowtie pasta glued onto the canvas.

We used this design to make two big canvases as kids stopped by to add bugs, cherry blossom leaves, a treehouse, and more. It was amazing as always to see the creativity on display, and we can’t wait to do it again. The best news is, we’ll be BACK in Lake Zurich for workshops starting in May! You can sign up at their website and get your ART on!

What art do you do to celebrate spring?  Let us know in the comments and don’t forget to keep creating.
