Introducing our GOFUNDME:  Bringing Literacy to Kids Across America

Good morning to everyone out there in the Do Art Nation!  We hope your art projects are off to a great start.

Last week, we talked about our yearly quest to give away thousands of comics FOR FREE to kids across America.  Now our Gofundme is officially live!  You can check it out here–don’t forget to donate and SHARE!

Free Comic Book Day is an amazing time for artists because it allows us to connect with the people that make what we do possible: readers and fans. This year, we’ll be releasing our brand new comic “This, That, and The Other Thing” at libraries across the country to kids FOR FREE.

We use This, That, and The Other Thing to discuss aspects of storytelling as we not only draw but create stories with kids and teens. The Other Thing is the problem child. His compulsive need to cause chaos becomes the catalyst for the adventures in the story, each of them pushing the boundaries of the imagination.

We hope you enjoy reading these comics half as much as we did making them, because we had a ball! But we need YOUR help to bring these comics to kids across America. Every $2 donated is another comic in a kid’s hand.

We’ll be sharing more about our Gofundme, and our stories of This, That, and The Other Thing, in the coming weeks.  Don’t forget to keep creating, Do Art Nation, and don’t forget to share your art with others.  Your creativity has the power to make people smile, to make them think, and to make them see the world in a new way.  See you soon!
