Inside the ILF Conference 2025: How Storytelling and Creativity Are Shaping Stronger Communities

Hello to everyone out there in the Do Art Nation!  The short month of November is winding down. We are super excited for the workshops we have coming up in December, and for the 2026 year to come.

I was lucky enough to attend the Indiana Library Federation conference in Indianapolis last week. I had an amazing time sharing drawings and stories with librarians from libraries large and small.

I’ve said before that it’s incredibly inspiring to see librarians bring knowledge & creativity to their communities. The keynote speakers on Monday and Tuesday both highlighted this. On Monday, Shane Meeker talked about using aspects of narrative art like character and conflict to create more compelling stories. On Tuesday, Adriana Harmeyer talked about how her recent run on Jeopardy made her into a more knowledgeable and curious person.

We at Do Art Productions are HUGE believers in the power of story and curiosity to bridge gaps between people, to give self-confidence to our lives, and to make us more fulfilled people.  Through programs like our Comic Book Workshop, Creative Assembly, and Graphic Novel Week, we challenge audiences to craft their own stories, foster their own creativity, and pursue what brings them joy and confidence.

What stories are YOU excited to tell this upcoming year, Do Art Nation!  Reach out to us and let us know!  Keep creating, and we will see you soon!
