Hello to everyone out there in the Do Art Nation!
November is finally here, which means my birthday is fast approaching. November 27 is Thanksgiving this year, so I’m looking forward to seeing family, making art with my nieces and nephews, and reflecting on what art I want to bring into the world next year.
But before that…it’s the Indiana Library Federation Conference! I had an amazing time at the conference in Missouri last month. This time I’m looking forward to 3 full days of librarians and fun. As someone for whom reading, and his local library, were foundational parts of his childhood experience, it’s always great to meet the people that make these experiences possible.
Doing workshops and assemblies all over the country has absolutely brought creativity to life for me, in all its forms. Conferences like the Indiana Library Federation conference bring together people from all over the state, united by their desire to enable public learning and create safe places for people of all ages and backgrounds. Creativity and empathy absolutely play a role in this process, and we at Do Art Productions are proud to play our small part in making libraries and schools fun and enriching places to learn.
